When a refrigerator stops cooling, the cause is usually simpler than people expect. Start by checking the thermostat setting and making sure nothing is blocking the vents inside.
Next, look at the condenser coils under or behind the fridge. In humid Southwest Louisiana, dust and pet hair build up fast and make the compressor work overtime.
Listen for the evaporator fan. If the freezer is cold but the fresh-food side is warm, a failed fan or a frosted coil is the likely culprit.
If those checks don't solve it, call us. Most refrigerator repairs are finished in a single visit.
